A large majority of the current graduating class of computer science student’s value “life” balance more than any group of graduates of the past. This current class is not willing to sacrifice their personal lives for the companies they work for. This was one of the big learnings I took away from a tech road-show I did across the United Kingdom during the week of February 16th.
This roadshow was sponsored by Codess, an Engineering Forum for Women and supporters of women, started and sponsored by Microsoft. It’s a platform for women & supporters to share their experiences in climbing the engineering career ladder, giving advice on what knowledge they have gained with the chance to network & learn from each other.
Dona is Seattle based Engineering Manager at Microsoft - find out more about the roadshow & her experiences of the week on Monday, with her first visit to Imperial College London & find out more about Dona and her career here: http://www.donasarkar.com/
